Another major storm is brewing in the Atlantic Ocean and could develop into a serious nor'easter, according to forecasters, though it's potential impacts on eastern Pennsylvania remain unclear.
Long range predictions remain uncertain on the storm, which forecasters say will start to bring to wind gusts to the coasts late Saturday night.
Wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour are expected to hit along some of the mid-Atlantic states.
Forecasters cannot yet confidently say how far inland the storm may track, and what impacts it would have on the Philly area if it did make it farther inland.
"If the storm moves close enough to the coast, there can also be bouts of potentially heavy rain from New Jersey to the eastern part of the Carolinas," Accuweather Senior Meteorologist Adam Douty said. said. "While this could raise some inland urban flooding concerns, the most significant impacts would likely remain along the coast."
The timing of the storm is also murky, but impacts appear most likely to be felt from late Saturday through early Tuesday.
Even for coastal residents, forecasters do not believe the storm will be as significant as the remnants of the hurricane that hit the region earlier this month.
If the storm does not come farther inland, it's possible it will only effect coastal areas and no major weather will be seen in eastern Pennsylvania.
