Body Part Purchasing Leads To Charges For Pennsylvania Man: Police
Police found human remains in Enola and Scranton, and say Jeremy Pauley was buying them from an Arkansas woman and selling them on Facebook.

PENNSBORO TOWNSHIP, PA — A Cumberland County man sold human remains on Facebook that he had bought from a woman in Arkansas, police said.
East Pennsboro Township Police got a call of "suspicious activity" on June 14th in Enola. Police found human remains in Enola and Scranton, as well as in Arkansas.
After an investigation, they said 40-year-old Jeremy Lee Pauley of Enola had been purchasing the remains, then selling them online.

They arrested Pauley on August 18 and charged him with abuse of a corpse, two counts of receiving stolen property, and dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities. Two of these are felony charges.
Pauley posted a $50,000 unsecured bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 14 in front of Magisterial District Judge Michael Sanderson.

A Facebook page for Pauley lists bones for sale, including teeth, femurs, and a pelvis, as recently as Aug. 16.
A spokeswoman for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock told the Associated Press a female medical student had stolen remains from a mortuary services building. She said there is an "open federal investigation."
FBI Little Rock spokesman Conor Hagan said the office was aware of the Pennsylvania incident “but will not comment on ongoing investigations.”
No charges had been filed as of Thursday against the Arkansas woman, the AP reported.
