PENNSYLVANIA — It appears to be the end of the road for discount retailer Christmas Tree Shops, as it prepares to liquidate all of its stores including the seven remaining in Pennsylvania

Christmas Tree Shops recently filed papers in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware indicating that going-out-of-business sales would begin at all the chain's stores.

The sales could begin as soon as Thursday after the company defaulted on the loan funding its bankruptcy, according to the Wall Street Journal. Potential buyers have until then to object to the liquidation sales.
