David McCormick Concedes to Mehmet Oz In PA Senate Primary

David McCormick announced Friday evening that he was conceding the Pennsylvania GOP senatorial primary race to celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz.

PENNSYLVANIA — The GOP senatorial primary race has come to an end, as candidate David McCormick announced he has conceded to Mehmet Oz.

During a live stream on social media from Pittsburgh, McCormick said he called the celebrity doctor to concede.

"It's now clear to me with the recount now largely complete that we have a nominee," he said. "Tonight is really about all us coming together."

Oz, endorsed by former President Donald Trump, was leading in the race when a recount was called.

A winner was not declared in the race.
