Eli Manning Pretends To Try Out For Penn State As 'Chad'
"Never played ball," Manning, dressed in makeup as "Chad," says during the tryout.

STATE COLLEGE, PA — The man who has more Super Bowl rings than the rest of the NFC East combined in the last quarter century tried out for the Penn State University football team this week.
Going by the all too college sports appellation "Chad Powers", 41-year-old former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning pulled the stunt as part of his ESPN show "Eli's Places."
Nittany Lions head coach James Franklin was in on the stunt, and helped set up Manning's fake identity as a player who had been ineligible for a time and was returning once more to the gridiron.

Manning underwent some heavy cosmetic work (that somehow made him look older, not younger) for the episode, and appeared to successfully fool the team.

"Never played ball," Manning deadpans during the tryout, as his arm strength begins to dawn on the team. "Watched a lot of film, though."
The episode also features plenty of Manning brothers love (Eli calls Peyton at one point) as well as an emotional glance at the romance of the walk-on in college sports.
"Eli's Places," now in it's second season, features Manning exploring the essence of college football around the country.
