Ex-Reality Show Host Killed In PA By Tree Branch In Golf Cart
The local man was remembered for his zest for life, "encylopedic knowledge" of cars, and deep love for his family.
PENNSYLVANIA — The former host of a reality television show was killed when a tree branch fell into a golf cart he was riding at a Pennsylvania course.
The incident occurred at Manor Golf Club near Reading on Monday when the branch snapped free, police said.
Christopher Ritter, 43, of Bethel Township was killed in the incident.

Ritter was the host on the reality automobile-oriented television series “The Appraisers," which aired in 2015. The show allowed Ritter to showcase what his obituary called an "encylopedic knowledge" of cars as he traveled the United States "in search of great cars with great stories," according to IMDB.
The season's eight episodes are available on Amazon Prime Video.

Beyond his turn on TV, Ritter loved diving deep into a wide variety of projects, and especially loved his family. "His sons were his world, and he loved nothing more than making them laugh and smile," his obituary states.
Services for Ritter will be held on Oct. 16 at 1 p.m. at Bethel Township's Grimes Airport.
