Fish Hooks Found In Dog Treats Near PA Nature Center
Hikers with pets using the Appalachian Trail around the Lehigh Gap are urged to use caution after several treats were found.

LEHIGH COUNTY, PA — Officials issued a warning this week after dog treats embedded with fish hooks were found near a Lehigh County nature center.
The Lehigh Gap Nature Center posted on Facebook that the dog treats were found along the Appalachian Trail between Route 873 and George W. Outerbridge Shelter in Washington Township.
This section of trail where the treats were found connects to the nature center trail system via the Woodpecker Trail, officials said.

All treats that were found have since been removed, officials said. Police were also notified.
