Halloween Forecast: What's In Store For Philly Area Trick Or Treaters

A beautiful week of warm autumn weather is on tap for the greater Philadelphia region, with all signs pointing to near-perfect trick or treating conditions over Halloween weekend.

"A picture-perfect week lies ahead with dry conditions expected throughout," the National Weather Service Mt. Holly, New Jersey branch shared in a statement. "Temperatures will also be warming with highs in the low to mid 70s by Friday."

The warmest day will be Friday, with highs up to 76. Halloween Saturday will be bright and clear for trick and treaters who get out during the daylight hours, with mostly sunny skies expected and a high near 70.

The sun and warmer temperatures could favor lighter costumes.

Temperatures are only predicted to drop to around 52 degrees Saturday night, though some areas could see lows in the mid-40s. The night will be overcast, with a spooky cloud cover potentially setting in around dusk.

It's a welcome reprieve for local families and trick or treaters who likely still remember the brutal 2024 Halloween, which tied 1946 as the hottest on historic record. Temperatures reached 82 degrees in Philadelphia, according to the National Weather Service, along with humid conditions.
