LEHIGH COUNTY, PA — Multiple people, including several children, were taken to the hospital Wednesday after a hazmat incident prompted an evacuation at a Lehigh Valley daycare, according to multiple reports citing police.

Authorities were called to Kids Corner in North Whitehall Township around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday for a hazmat situation, according to a 6ABC report.

Pennsylvania State Police told WFMZ that authorities were called to the daycare after employees said they weren't feeling well.

The building was evacuated while teams tested the air inside, reports said.

According to WFMZ, five adults and eight children were taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
