Man Found Dead In Tree, PA Police Say

Police say no foul play is suspected in the death of a 39-year-old central PA man who was found dead Saturday afternoon in a tree.

LANCASTER COUNTY, PA — Police say a man trimming branches in a tree was electrocuted and died in Lancaster County on Saturday.

Manheim Township Police and other first responders arrived to the 2100 block of Kentwood Drive at 12:48 p.m. that day for the report of an unconscious man in a tree, police said.

Officials say the man, a 39-year-old from Lancaster, had been trimming branches in the tree when a branch touched a power line, and electrocuted him.

The Lancaster County Coroner's Office pronounced the man, who has not yet been identified, dead at the scene. Police say no foul play is suspected and have not released further information at this time.
