PENNSYLVANIA — Love has its own time and its own season – and for the contestants hoping to get a rose from ABC’s first-ever “Golden Bachelor,” that time and season could be coming very soon. One Pennsylvania woman will be among the 22 bachelorettes looking for a lasting love in this chapter of their lives.

This latest spinoff to the network’s well-followed reality show “The Bachelor” features women between the ages of 60 and 79, who are competing to win the hearts of leading man Gerry Turner.

The 71-year-old retired restaurateur, an Indiana resident, is “a doting father and grandfather” who lost the love of his life Toni to an illness in 2017.

“Six years after Toni's passing and with the support of his family, Turner is ready to put himself out there and find a love that will stand the test of time in his golden years,” the Bachelor site reads.

Gerry is "often busy hosting barbecues, playing pickleball, cheering on his favorite Chicago sports teams, four-wheeling and spending time with friends and family at restaurants and local haunts," his biography says.

And, the Delaware County woman who will be trying to win his heart knows a little bit about love. Susan, of Aston, is a wedding officiant as well as a hair and makeup artist, according to her "bachelorette biography" on the show website.

The 66-year-old is loyal and compassionate, and is "quite the catch," according to her biography:

"When Susan isn't on the golf course or working at the salon, she loves spending time with her kids and grandkids at the beach. She also enjoys going to concerts, with two of her all-time favorite shows being The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd. Susan knows what she's looking for in a man and hopes Gerry is athletic, funny and honest. For Susan, this journey is all about finding her forever, so here’s hoping she can find that meaningful connection with Gerry."

The site also shared several fun facts about each contestant — Susan's are that her dream lunch companion is Kris Jenner, she loves eating leftovers from the night before, and she "has a pair of pink go-go boots that she LOVES."

ABC’s “The Golden Bachelor” stars Patty, Christina, Theresa, Peggy, Ellen, Susan, Faith, Leslie, Sandra, Kathy, Nancy, Maria, Edith, Pamela, Marina, Sylvia, Natasha, Joan, April, Anna, Renee, and Jeanie. (ABC/Ricky Middlesworth)
