More Grocery Items From PA Supermarket Had Needles Inside: Police
State police said that even more products sold at the local grocery store had the sewing needles hidden inside. Full list:
EASTERN PA — Authorities have identified additional food items sold at an eastern Pennsylvania grocery store that had needles placed them, State Police announced on Monday.
An employee at the Lower Macungie Township Giant supermarket, located on 7150 Hamilton Boulevard, placed the needles in numerous items earlier in April, state police discovered last week.
In addition to the previously reported tainted items, including vegetables and pet food, state police said on Monday that King Hawaiian bread rolls and StarKist Light tuna in pouches larger than 2.6 ounces may also be impacted.

The teenage employee was fired and will face criminal charges.
Police are asking anyone who shopped at the store between Thursday, April 13 and Wednesday, April 19 to check their items for tampering. It's believed the "product tampering" occurred after 5 p.m. on April 13.
It's unclear exactly how many items were tampered with.
Other impacted items include single serve Tastykakes, fresh bagged green beans, loose sweet yellow and white onions, fresh green asparagus, soft packaged dog food and treats, soft packaged cat food and treats, instant mashed potatoes, and cleaning sponges.
