250+ Jobs Cut As Pennsylvania Publishing Company Relocates Operations
Lightning Source, an on-demand book printing service, is closing operations at one of its PA facilities.
UPPER MACUNGIE TWP., PA — A Lehigh County employer is cutting more than 250 jobs this year, according to Pennsylvania's Department of Labor and Industry.
A state WARN notice states that Lightning Source, LLC in Breinigsville began laying off employees on April 14, and will do so though December 29 with a total of 260 employees affected.
Breinigsville is about 10 miles southwest of Allentown.

Lightning Source, a print-on-demand service, is part of book publishing company Ingram Content Group. The company can print small numbers of books on-demand or produce e-books.
The Lehigh County location is at 860 Nestle Way in Breinigsville. According to WFMZ, these employees are have an opportunity to relocate to a facility in Chambersburg, Franklin County (about 124 miles away).

The company laid off 11 employees on the 14th and will continue reducing its workforce by 20 people from May-October, according to the state. Lightning Source plans to let 69 employees go on November 3, and 40 on Dec. 29.
Lightning Source is headquartered in La Vergne, Tennessee.
