PA Girl, 13, Charged With Attempted Homicide Of Father, Grandmother
The girl reportedly told police she would stab her family members, after an argument about "drug-related items" in her room.
NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA — A teenage girl faces attempted homicide charges for planning to kill her father and grandmother after an argument about "drug-related items" in her room, said Pennsylvania state police.
The 13-year-old made the threats after state police came to her family's Milton home on Monday, a report from PennLive said. The teen's grandmother had removed posters and other items from her room while the girl was out of the house, police said.
When the teen and her father returned around 3 p.m. that day, police said the 13-year-old "drew a long knife" after arguing with her grandmother that she wanted the items back. The girl's father grabbed her in a bear hug, and she began poking the knife handle into his left leg, the PennLive report said.

Police said the father was able to get the knife away from her and hold her in place, before officers arrived around 4:30 p.m. The teen said she just had to "make one phone call" and her father and grandfather would be dead, the police report said.
The girl later told police that she planned to stab her father and grandmother with a knife when her sister wasn't looking, police added.
