PA Infant Fatally Shot In Face By 3-Year-Old: Police

LANCASTER, PA — An infant was fatally shot by a 3-year-old child in Lancaster this week, according to police.
According to Lancaster city police, the shooting happened Tuesday shortly after 7 p.m. at a home in the 500 block of Woodward Street. When officers arrived, they found the infant lying on the floor with a gunshot wound to the face, police said.
Officers and medics tried to save the baby's life, police said, but the baby was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lancaster police confirmed Wednesday that a 3-year-old child fired the fatal shot.
Police are investigating the shooting. No one is currently in custody, authorities confirmed.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday, Fox 43 reported, citing the Lancaster County Coroner's Office.
