PA Lt. Gov. Candidate Barred From Home Amid Abuse Allegations: Report

WAYNE COUNTY, PA — Teddy Williams, a pro-Trump and far-right Republican candidate for Pennsylvania lieutenant governor, was barred from his home this week after his wife asked a court for a protection order against him, according to a report by Rolling Stone.

According to court documents, Daniels' wife claims he stalked her and was verbally abusive. She also accuses him of threatening her, their child, and the family dog, Rolling Stone reported.

This is at least the third relationship where Daniels has been accused of mistreating his partner, according to a separate Rolling Stone report.

Daniels is among several Republicans running for lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania. He will appear on the May 17 primary ballot after withdrawing from the race to represent the state's 8th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Daniels' website describes him as a "pro-Trump, America first combat veteran who won't back down." He is a former law enforcement officer who, in addition to his own campaign, served as the northeast U.S. director of Vets for Trump.

Daniels, whose pugnacious campaign style sometimes draws complaints from other GOP candidates, recently threatened fellow candidate Rep. Russ Diamond after Diamond posted a six-minute video about Daniels’ disability payments, police career and decision to sell a debt-free home just a few months after a veterans’ charity gave him the deed, The Associated Press reported.

"I find it disturbing that Mr. Daniels is portraying himself as some sort of great American hero," Diamond said in the video, which also mentioned Daniels' wife. "And even more disturbing that some decent, patriotic, hard-working Republican voters are falling for it."

In response, Daniels warned Diamond to expect a confrontation leading up to the May primary.

"I’m curious to see what you’re going to do with a man standing in front of you, now that you want to bring my wife into things," Daniels said in a video. "You are the lowest, scummiest, dirtiest form of a thing on the face of the earth. And boy you poked the wrong bear."
