PA Man Accused Of Hurting Baby Accidentally Released From Jail: Report
Owen Wesley Moore is accused of causing traumatic injuries to the infant daughter of a woman he was living with in 2022, PennLive reported.
LEWISBURG, PA — A Lycoming County man accused of causing traumatic head injuries to a baby was mistakenly released from jail Tuesday, according to PennLive.
Owen Wesley Moore, 33, is accused of seriously injuring the infant daughter of a woman he was living with in a trailer in the Allenwood area, according to PennLive.
The infant's mother, Amber Paradis, told the outlet earlier this year that Moore claims he shook the baby 'a little bit' after she choked on her formula while Paradis was at work in April 2022.

However, according to Paradis, the baby ended up in critical condition with what doctors descried as nervous system injury consistent with abusive head trauma.
Moore was on the run for several months before finally being arrested in Lycoming County this past June, PennLive reported. He was jailed on a charge of posession with intent to deliver drugs, then shortly after appeared in Union County court, where he is awaiting trial on charges aggravated assault and endangering ther welfare of a child in connection with the April 2022 incident, according to the outlet.

After being released on the drug charges, Moore was taken to the Northumberland County Prison Oct. 10.
However, the Northumberland County Prison never recieved a detainer from Union County, the prison warden said, according to PennLive. Since his bail on the Northumberland County drug charges was unsecured, he was released, the outlet reported.
Warden Thomas Reisinger added to PennLive that "nobody is happy" about the release and that no one seems to know what the detainer was not received.
A warrant has been issued for Moore's arrest, according to PennLive.
