PA Man Attacked By Bear, Rescued By Neighbor: Reports
A Pennsylvania man was walking home from the grocery store when the bear came at him.
PENNSYLVANIA — A black bear attacked a man in rural Pennsylvania and was rescued by a neighbor, according to video footage from the scene of the incident and multiple media reports.
It occurred on Sunday, Jan. 19 in Jim Thorpe, in Carbon County.
A local man, Andrew Neirer, was walking home from the grocery store on a trail when he first saw the bear, NBC10 reports.

Neirer tried to walk away but the bear charged at him, according to WNEP, a local news station.
The bear was on top of him when Neirer's neighbor, Mike Bramich, shot the bear dead, the video shows.

Neirer reportedly only suffered minor injuries.
