According to an affidavit of probable cause obtained by PennLive.com, Saldana-Ramos approached his brother-in-law, Hector Vargas, while he was eating dinner and shot him four times. Saldana-Ramos then shot his sister in the chest, the affidavit said.

According to PennLive.com, Saldana-Ramos' mother was also eating dinner at the table and told police she hid under the kitchen table as the family dogs attacked her son.
