PA Man Sent Email Threatening To 'Beat' Gov. Josh Shapiro: Reports

BEDFORD COUNTY, PA — A Bedford County man is facing charges after state police said they intercepted an email from him threatening to harm Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, according to multiple reports.

Blayk Bridges, 25, of Hyndman, was charged with making terroristic threats with the intent to terrorize another after an email was forwarded to state police last week from someone in Maryland claiming the message was sent by Bridges to Gov. Shapiro, WTAJ reported.

According to a criminal complaint obtained by WTAJ, the email's subject line stated, "I’m going after the Governor of Pennsylvania."

According to a WJAC report, Bridges allegedly made several threats in the email and threatened to "beat the s---" out of Shapiro.

Bridges was taken to Bedford County jail, where he is being held on $500,000 bond, reports said. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 13.
