PA Man Shoots, Kills Girlfriend On Christmas Day: Police
The man, who had previously been charged with assaulting her, was convicted of homicide in 2004, police said.

PENNSYLVANIA — A Pennsylvania man who had previously been convicted of homicide shot and killed his girlfriend on Christmas Day in Maryland, authorities said.
Justin Kyle Marshall, 34, of Greencastle in Franklin County, had also been charged with assault of the victim, Tristen Shifflet, 37, in Pennsylvania, according to police.
The incident occurred at around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday in Hagerstown, Maryland, on the 300 block of S. Burhans Boulevard.

Marshall shot Shifflet in the neck during a dispute, and then fled the scene, police said.
Police then tracked him to Berkeley County, West Virginia, and he was taken into custody by sheriffs there at 2:45 a.m.

The couple shared a young child together, police said. He is being cared for by Washington County Child Protective Services
Marshall had been convicted of second degree murder in 2004 in Hagerstown. He had been released for two years.
