PA Mom Convicted Of Murdering Her 2 Children
Lisa Snyder was convicted of murder after police found her two children hanging from a beam in their basement five years ago.
BERKS COUNTY, PA — A Pennsylvania mother has been found guilty of murdering her two children, who were found hanging in the basement of their home five years ago, according to multiple reports.
On Tuesday, a judge convicted Lisa Snyder, 41, of two counts of first-degree murder, endangering the welfare of a child and evidence tampering following trial that began last week, WFMZ reported.
Snyder was accused of killing her two children, 8-year-old Conner and 4-year-old Brinley, on Sept. 23, 2019. Reports said police found the children hanging three feet apart from a beam in the basement of their home in the 2400 block of Route 143 in Albany Township.

Authorities said they linked Snyder to their deaths after discovering internet searches for suicide and crime shortly before they were found, Fox 29 reported.
Snyder also admitted to authorities that she bought a dog lead on the day the children were found hanging from it, according to an Associated Press report.

According to court paperwork obtained by WFMZ, Snyder blamed the deaths on her son, claiming he wanted to commit suicide due to being bullied at school. Snyder said he expressed a desire to end his life but was afraid to die alone. School officials and family members rebutted Snyder's claim, reports said.
A judge last year rejected a plea agreement in which Snyder would have pleaded no contest but mentally ill to two counts of third-degree murder, The AP reported. Earlier, prosecutors said they intended to seek the death penalty.
