PA Pizza Cafe Waitress Left $3,000 Tip On $13 Bill

"It really touched my heart. I still can't believe it. I'm still in shock," Mariana Lambert said about the stunning act of kindness.

SCRANTON, PA — A customer at Alfredo's Pizza Cafe in Scranton made his server's day when he ordered a $13 stromboli and then left her a $3,000 tip, according to a report.

The stunning act of generosity happened to Mariana Lambert during a shift last month, she told WNEP. The tip came from Eric Smith, who travels across the country leaving similar tips for servers as part of a social media trend called "Tips for Jesus," the news station reported.

Employees at Alfredo's were shocked and, at times, skeptical of the act of kindness. Once they ran his card and everything went through, they knew the tip was real.

"It really meant a lot to me because everyone's going through stuff. It really touched my heart. I still can't believe it. I'm still in shock," Lambert said.

Lambert says she plans to pay it forward the next time she goes out to eat, WNEP reported. She also hopes to pay some bills and take her family on vacation.
