$1M Powerball Ticket Sold In PA As Jackpot Hits $1B
Players in five states, including Pennsylvania, will cash in on a smaller prize after no one scored the Powerball Jackpot on Monday.

PENNSYLVANIA — No one cashed in on the $900 million Powerball jackpot on Monday, but one Pennsylvania player got a piece of the pie as the total jackpot amount rises to $1 billion.
The winning Powerball numbers for Monday, July 17, were: 05, 08, 09, 17, 41 and the Powerball of 21. According to Powerball.com, a Pennsylvania Lottery player matched five numbers and won $1 million. Lottery officials said the ticket was sold at a Delaware County store.
Pennsylvania Lottery officials said Bethel Food Market, located at 1406 Naamans Creek Road in Garnet Valley, sold the $1 million-winning ticket. Bethel Food Market will earn a $5,000 bonus for selling the winner.

The winning Powerball numbers are drawn every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern time, with Powerball results usually posted within 5 minutes. In Pennsylvania, the cut-off time for purchase of a ticket is 9:59 p.m. on the night of the drawing.
The Powerball jackpot was last won in the April 19, 2023 drawing, when a ticket in Ohio matched all five white balls and the red Powerball to win a grand prize worth $252.6 million. Since then, there have been 33 consecutive drawings without a jackpot winner.

The largest Powerball jackpot in history was $2.04 billion, which was claimed by a single winner in California in November 2022.
