First Look At Memorial Day Weekend Forecast For Eastern PA
Will it feel like summer, or will spring rain linger on Memorial Day weekend? See what forecasters predict for Pennsylvania.

PENNSYLVANIA— Memorial Day weekend will start out seasonable and dry in most parts of Pennsylvania. The outlook for activities on the three-day weekend looks best on Saturday, forecasters at the National Weather Service said.
High pressure will move in following Wednesday's cold front. This will lead to a quiet start to the weekend according to forecasters with the NWS.
Saturday should be “mostly dry” in the region, said weather experts, with temperatures in the low-to-mid 70s.

And, cold air that is developing in the southeastern U.S. could bring “a prolonged period of unsettled weather” northeast on Sunday, forecasters added.
This would increase the potential for rain in our area Sunday and Memorial Day, though forecasters are still monitoring conditions.

“(It’s) not looking like a washout by any means, but rather mostly cloudy with periods of showers for Sunday and Memorial Day,” said NWS forecasters. Temperatures are expected to be closer to the 80s on Sunday and Monday.
AccuWeather adds that shifts in the weather pattern could change the weekend outlook for Pennsylvania.
Right now, forecasters anticipate the rain and thunderstorms possible with this storm will linger from the Carolinas to southern Virginia, and not bring severe weather far enough north to put a major damper on plans.
“Any slight change in that pattern could cause clouds and rain to overspread much of the region or keep the moisture pent up to the Southeast states and allow drier conditions to dominate in the Northeast,” said the weather company in their Memorial Day forecast.
"The key will be at the jet stream level of the atmosphere and exactly where areas of high pressure and a storm system set up," AccuWeather Meteorologist Nicole LoBiondo added.
