Rain Threatens Philly Area Labor Day Weekend Forecast: See Timeline
Scattered rainstorms could interrupt Labor Day weekend plans around the Philadelphia area. See when, and how much rain is likely:
EASTERN PA — An at least somewhat rainy Labor Day weekend appears to be on tap for the greater Philadelphia area, with several chances for storms to impact the region, according to forecasters.
However, most of the storm fronts are not anticipated to be severe, and there is also a good chance some of the rain will miss the city and the five county suburban region.
The first chance for rain is Thursday night, with a slight possibility of precipitation and thunderstorms after 2 a.m.

Friday night will be cloudy and without rain, but storms will return Saturday afternoon, with a 30 chance of showers between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. and a chance of thunderstorms into the evening. Still, only a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.
