Recall On These Over-The-Counter Treatments At Family Dollar In PA

Dozens of products were stored outside labeled temperature requirements or inadvertently shipped to stores, according to Family Dollar.

PENNSYLVANIA — Family Dollar has recalled dozens of over-the-counter treatments sold in Pennsylvania stores. The company shipped out many of the products during the same timeframe as a wave of more than 400 items that the retailer recalled earlier this summer.

The newest recall, which the Food and Drug Administration published Friday, involves several over-the-counter pharmaceuticals that the FDA regulates. The recalled products were shipped to certain stores on or around May 1 through June 10, according to the recall notice.

Family Dollar hasn't received any consumer complaints or reports of illness related to the recall, saying the company is conducting it "out of an abundance of caution." The company has dozens of potentially impacted Pennsylvania locations.

"Family Dollar has notified its affected stores asking them to check their stock immediately and to quarantine and discontinue the sale of any affected product," the recall notice says. "Customers that may have bought affected product may return such product to the Family Dollar store where they were purchased without receipt."

The company initiated a separate recall last week on certain Colgate products, but it doesn't apply to Pennsylvania.
