PENNSYLVANIA — A quiet start to Friday will become quite rainy and windy, with a chance for snow and ice still possible in parts of Pennsylvania.

A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday for Delaware, Philadelphia, and Lower Bucks counties.

Philadelphia and the surrounding areas may see up to an inch and a half of rain Friday night.
Up to one foot of inundation above ground level is expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal areas, according to the National Weather Service.

Winter weather advisories are in place in a number of central Pennsylvania counties, as well: mixed precipitation is expected with this storm, with the highest risk for snow and ice across the middle portion of the state.

And once the rain is through, expect more wind on Saturday, with high gusts possible southwest of Pittsburgh.

This "dynamic and potent storm" is predicted to spread snow across the Great Lakes, northern New York State, and New England — up to a foot or more of snow is possible in Detroit and Boston, says AccuWeather.
