Storm Dumps 14 Inches Of Snow In Parts Of PA: See Town-By-Town Totals
A winter storm swept across Pennsylvania overnight Saturday, dumping as much as 5 inches of snow in one hour in some parts of the state.

PENNSYLVANIA — A winter storm swept across Pennsylvania early Saturday morning, dumping nearly 14 inches of snow on some parts of the state, according to early reports.
Parts of Berks, Bucks, Lehigh, and Northampton counties received as much as a foot of snow overnight, according to the National Weather Service. Center Valley in Lehigh County reported the most snow at 13.8 inches, according to preliminary totals.
At one point, NWS forecasters said 5.2 inches of snow fell in just one hour along a narrow band starting in Berks County and spanning eastward into New Jersey.

"These are some serious snowfall rates!" the NWS's Mount Holly office posted on X Saturday morning. "A heavy snow band has developed from Berks County and portions of the Lehigh Valley east to Raritan Bay. We’ve received reports of 2″ to 4″ per hour snowfall rates with this band."
In its Friday morning forecast, the National Weather Service had predicted between 3 to 4 inches to fall into Saturday. Philadelphia was slated to receive 1 to 3 inches of snow.
