3 Candlelight Walks Planned to Celebrate International Peace Day 2015

All are invited to join Ambler's "Partnership for Peace" walkers on September 18, 19, and 20 (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) evenings.

Ambler’s St. John’s Lutheran and the Church of the Brethren will once again commemorate International Peace Day (officially September 21) by inviting the community to join them a series of weekend candlelight peace walks on September 18, 19 and 20.

Walkers will meet each evening at the Church of the Brethren, 351 E. Butler Ave., Ambler, and stroll through Ambler from 8:30 to 9: 30 p.m. Candle-lanterns will light the way, or bring a flashlight if you prefer.

The U.N. sponsors International Peace Day to promote cease-fires and non-violence throughout the world, but here in our communities each of us can more simply make peace as individuals: take a child to get a library card, let go of a grudge, share a message of compassion and healing with your Facebook friends ...
