6th In Nation Finish For Montco Community College Men's Basketball
It was a historic year and a historic March Madness for Montco.

BLUE BELL, PA — Montgomery County Community College has announced itself on the national basketball scene.
It was a March of Madness indeed for the Mustangs, who were led by first year coach Koran Prince to place sixth in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III tournament.
The finish caps their historic, all-time best 28-3 record.

“I thought it was great experience," Prince said, according to the university. "A lot of the teams were really good, and they were tough. I think one thing that I learned was the physicality of the game is a lot different than what we experienced in the region."
After a dominant regular season, Montco traveled to Herikmer, New York for the tourney. They also defeated Brookdale Community Community College of Lindcroft, New Jersey to become the region XIX champions, giving them a first round bye in the tourney.

Prince was named both the NJCAA North Atlantic District Coach of the Year and the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.
With the core of the team returning, the program is confident national level experience will pay off with an even bigger season next year.
