Alfred H. DeVincent, 81, of Plymouth Meeting

Alfred served in the Air Force during the Korean War.

Alfred H. DeVincent, 81, of Plymouth Meeting, PA, died on April 17, 2012 at Mercy Suburban Hospital.

He was the beloved husband of the late Catherine (Rementer).

Alfred was born in the Lawn Crest section of Philadelphia, PA on June 8, 1930 to the late Alfonso and Josephine (Godino) DeVincent.

Alfred was a graduate of Olney High School.

Alfred served his country proudly in the Air Force during the Korean War.

He was a Masonry Contractor by trade for 50 years and later became a Masonry instructor for the Associated Builders & Contractors Assoc. for 11 years, where he instructed three consecutive national award winning Masonry classes and received the 2009 Instructor of the Year Award.

He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church in Plymouth Meeting and enjoyed gardening, golfing and playing billiards.

Alfred is survived by his 2 sons: Alfred H. DeVincent, Jr., David G. DeVincent of Plymouth Meeting; 1 step-son Daniel Hennessy of Plymouth Meeting; 2 sisters: Lois Sanders and Ann Brothman.

He was predeceased by 2 brothers: Robert and George DeVincent.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Saturday April 21, 2012 at 10 AM at Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 3050 Walton Road, Plymouth Meeting.

A Viewing will be held on Friday eve. from 6:30 – 9 PM and Saturday from 8:30-9:30AM at Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Home, 951 E. Butler Pike, Ambler.

Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
