Ambler Bike Race Gains Momentum

While the famous Manayunk Bike Race was canceled this year, Ambler's Bike Race is growing in popularity.

AMBLER, PA — While the famous Manayunk Bike Race was canceled this year, Ambler's Bike Race is growing in popularity.

The race will be contested for its third consecutive year on Saturday, Aug. 19, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The race will serve as the 2017 Pennsylvania State Masters championships, and the Critierium State Championships.

The closed course is flat, fast, and a five-mile loop.

The event will include food trucks, a beer garden, and more along Butler Avenue in the borough.
