Ambler Feedstore Shuts Down

The beloved local sandwich shop shut its doors before the New Year.

AMBLER, PA — The Ambler Feedstore, a beloved and highly rated local sandwich shop, shut its doors permanently late last year.

Owner Geoff Molt originally announced that the Feedstore would temporarily close just after Thanksgiving. At the time, owners said they were just "sorting a few things out." Unfortunately, those issues were not able to be resolved, and just days later, Molt said, he made the decision to close permanently.

"After some of the toughest decision making I have ever had to face, the Ambler Feedstore will remain closed," he said in a statement. "I want to thank the amazing people I have met, and some of my great employees that I now consider friends, everyone who graced us with their presence, shared their kind words, and showed their amazing love and support."

Molt pointed toward the growing amount of work he faced, in addition to the struggle to find a large enough number of "honest, hard-working" employees.

Molt did strike an optimistic note, hinting that the Feedstore could return in the future.

"Perhaps this is not goodbye, but maybe see you later," he wrote.

The Feedstore was located on 242 E. Butler Avenue in the borough.
