HORSHAM, PA -- Recreational drugs have already had too much of an impact on the Hatboro-Horsham school system.

“More young people these days believe, ’weed is like salad.’ This funny, but sadly inaccurate statement is consistent with data showing that young people have a lower perception of risk when it comes to regular marijuana use,” the organization said in its announcement for the event. ’This perception is only strengthened by the legalization of marijuana in several states, the proliferation of marijuana “as medicine, and the promotion of marijuana through pop culture. Given this situation, what chance does any adult have to convince a teenager that, ’weed is definitely not salad?’”
The program is presented by clinical neuropsychologist and professional youth speaker, Matt Bellace, PhD. It aims to provide insights into how to have an effective conversation with youth on this important topic.
