WHITPAIN TOWNSHIP, PA — A Texas man had sexual conversations with a teenager in Montgomery County, sending her jewelry and sexual toys in the mail, the district attorney's office said Tuesday.
Mitchell Van Dusen, 31, of Magnolia, Texas, has been charged with unlawful contact of a minor, sexual abuse of children, and human trafficking of a minor.
Van Dusen met the child through an online chat room on July 4, 2025, police said.
Van Dusen continued sexual conversations with her even after discovering she was underage, and later sent the child money in exchange for nude photos, according to authorities.
Whitpain police were notified of the situation on July 17, 2025 when the victim received a package in the mail containing a necklace, a vibrator, and lingerie, the DA said.
Van Dusen was arrested at his home in Texas on April 22. A forensic analysis of his cell phone revealed numerous images and videos of child pornography, according to police.
He was booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility on April 24. He was released on $500,000 bail on conditions of no contact with minors and the surrender of his passport.
A preliminary hearing is set for April 30.
