Andy Musser, Longtime Phillies Broadcaster Dies

After a quarter-century of calling the Phillies games, Andy Musser has passed away.

Philadelphia Phillies broadcaster for a quarter-century, Andy Musser, passed away Sunday evening at his home in Wynnewood. He was 74.

According to a report from Philly.com, Musser did play-by-play for every major Philadelphia sports team, except the Flyers.

During his 26 years of calling the Phillies games, ESPN reports he only missed two games from laryngitis.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Eun Joo; two children, Allan of Roswell, Ga., and Luanne Zimmerman of Lower Gwynedd; and four grandchildren.

According to Philly.com, a memorial service will be held at the Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 11 a.m.
