Any Damage or Power Outages Could Cause Schools to Close Monday

Wissahickon School District carefully watching weather, buildings to decide whether to open school on Monday or Tuesday.

The has announced that the district will be watching weather, water levels, and road conditions all weekend as Hurricane Irene rolls into town. With the opening of schools scheduled for Monday, the school buildings are being monitored this weekend for any possible wind or rain damage, or any power outage.

If schools are closed on Monday, August 29, the District will notify the community through the district website, the emergency phone system, Wissahickon Television, as well as local TV and radio stations.
