Blue Bell Lawyer, Rothstein, Appointed to Montgomery County Bar Association

The appointment is an important one for the county.

According to Fox Rothschild, LLP, attorneys at law, based in Blue Bell, Wendy G. Rothstein was appointed to serve as the vice chair of the Bench Bar Committee of the Montgomery County Bar Association (MBA).

Rothstein, who is a partner at the Blue Bell office, was appointed on March 29.

The law office said that this appointment is particularly important to the county as a whole.

“The Bench Bar Committee maintains and fosters the relationships between the MBA and the judges of the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas,” said a news release from Fox Rothschild LLP.

The release said, as vice chair, Rothstein's role will be to assist with the regular meetings of the organization.

“The co-chairs of the committee preside over monthly meetings between the bench and the bar and also meet with a committee of the judges of a regular basis,” said the release.

The local law office was proud to have one of its own added to the committee. The news release from the organization described Rothstein as “one of the top litigators in Montgomery County.”

She has had a wide variety of experience in the county since the early '80s.

“Widely known and respected in the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas, Rothstein worked in the courthouse prior to law school and spent her entire legal career there since 1982,” said the release. “Rothstein also served as chair of the firm’s Montgomery County Litigation Department from 1996 to 2008.”

As a partner of the law firm, Rothstein has accumulated a great deal of experience in different venues of law. She has worked with Fox Rothschild on commercial and business litigation, as well as on commercial arbitrations and mediations.

Rothstein has also defended employers in a number of discrimination cases, including in situations of wage or hour lawsuits, real estate tax assessments, and land use and zoning litigation cases.

Rothstein is a member of the Pennsylvania and Montgomery County bar associations. She also serves on the Long Range Planning and Judiciary and Civil Rules committees of the MBA. She has also served as the court-appointed Discovery Master.

In 1982, Rothstein earned a degree from the University of Baltimore, and she received her bachelor’s of science degree from Temple University in 1978. She graduated cum laude from both schools.
