Blue Bell Place Offers Complimentary Classes for Seniors
Many classes have a fall, winter or holiday theme
Blue Bell Place, a Watermark Retirement Community, offers residents and area seniors more than 70 class and program options this fall and winter through Watermark University. With topics running the gamut from fashion and photography to various forms of exercise, the semester offers participants boundless opportunities for mind, body and spiritual enhancement, plus friendship, fun and meaningful connections.
Watermark University classes are made available to Blue Bell Place residents and area seniors because of the Blue Bell Place residents, associates, loved ones and guest experts who share their time and talents. The results from this true community endeavor are as impressive as the long and varied list of course offerings that emerge each semester. To browse the complete Fall 2018 catalog, contact Community Life Director Colby Forman at 610-277-6443, or visit the Blue Bell Place website at www.watermarkcommunities.com/BlueBellPlace.
One not-to-miss cooking class to help you prepare for the holiday season is Fall Flavors, which will incorporate seasonal and local ingredients into various recipes. This class meets the last Wednesday of every month at 11 a.m. To further help you prepare for a holiday gathering, join Flower Arranging the second Wednesday of every month at 11 a.m. Also, make holiday party favors at the Gifts in a Jar class on the second Wednesday of every month at 10:45 a.m.

Also returning this semester is Traditions, a class that explores the importance of discovering your ancestry. With a rise in popularity of genealogy ‘kits,’ this course, led by Blue Bell Place Executive Director Anda Durso, is popular because it not only helps you piece together your unique history, but also provides you with a forum to share what you learn and explore the stories and cultures of your classmates. Traditions meets the third Friday of every month at 2 p.m.
The WU Fall 2018 semester runs now through December at Blue Bell Place. Some courses run on a weekly basis while others are offered once or as a short series. Most classes are complimentary, and all require an RSVP in advance. To learn more or RSVP, contact Forman at 610-277-6443.
