Bluebell Kitchens hires new associate designer
Michael Dugas brings unique background in home renovation and resale to Bluebell Kitchens' award-winning design team.
Bluebell Kitchens, which provides high-end kitchen design services to the Philadelphia Main Line and surrounding communities, welcomes Michael Dugas as its newest associate designer at the company’s Spring House design studio and soon, its new Wayne showroom and studio.
Proficient in AutoCAD® and SketchUp® software programs, Dugas helps develop client projects, select finishes, build estimates and draw up contracts.
“Michael, like several of our designers at Bluebell, has an unusual background,” says Jake Taylor, CFO. “Through it, he brings a special slant to his design work and added value to our clients.”
Dugas hails from Maine, where he renovated and flipped houses in his spare time, giving him a unique perspective on what upgrades improve a home’s resale value while increasing the comfort of those living in it.
Before becoming a designer Dugas worked in the financial field. Looking for a career in a more creative field, he returned to college and earned a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Salem College in North Carolina. He then joined the top kitchen and bath design firm in Winston-Salem before relocating to Springfield, Pa., in 2015.
“I love meeting new clients, listening to their vision for a new kitchen and exploring the possibilities with them,” says Dugas. “This is about them, not me, and my goal is for them to be happy in their new space and satisfied with the choices they’ve made, not regretful or second-guessing their decisions.”
Dugas is an allied member of ASID and holds a certificate in design from the National Kitchen & Bath Association. He lives in Springfield, Delaware County.
