Find talking about money to your children difficult? WVPL has a workshop for you!
Do you find you have a hard time talking to your children about money? WVPL has the workshop for you! Read on to learn more.
“That costs too much!” “We can’t afford that!” “Don’t you know money doesn’t grow on trees” Sound familiar? Did you know that most parents find it harder to talk to their kids about money than about sex? For many of us, money is just something you don’t talk about. We feel like it’s none of our kids’ business – we’re the parents and we make the rules about what, when and how much we spend.
But learning how to be financially smart is part of being an adult. The question is how do you teach your kids if you don’t know how to explain it or, you’re not doing too good yourself? This workshop will teach you how to raise a money-savvy kid. Learn how to teach your kids the difference between a need and a want, start them thinking about their financial goals and the benefit of savings accounts.
With the Holidays around the corner, this is a perfect opportunity to start discussing money with children.
