Bridge Over Towamencin Creek To Be Replaced
An aging bridge will be replaced in Upper Gwynedd Township this spring.
UPPER GWYNEDD TOWNSHIP, PA — A small public bridge over Towamencin Creek in Upper Gwynedd Township will be replaced with a private driveway this summer, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced this week.
The aging bridge currently carries Old Allentown Road over the creek. The $345,692 project will remove the bridge, create a private access point for the property owner on the other side of it, and transfer ownership of that driveway to the property owner.
The bridge and this work is distinct from the publicly-owned Allentown Road Bridge over Towamencin Creek.
