Building Fire Battled In Whitpain; DeKalb Pike Reopens

WHITPAIN, PA — First responders were on the scene of a building fire in Whitpain on Thursday night that led to road closures.

The incident occurred at around 7 p.m. on DeKalb Pike, authorities said.

DeKalb was shut down between Morris Road and Skippack Pike due to the incident.

Additional traffic hit the area and authorities urged residents to exercise caution.

The fire was extinguished and DeKalb was reopened in both directions at 7:15 p.m.

The cause of the fire, as well as the extent of the damage, are not yet clear. No injuries have been reported.
