Does College Planning Have You Driving in Circles? Join Chyten Educational Services of Blue Bell on the Road to College

Chyten Educational Services of Blue Bell presents a FREE Road to College Educational Fair/Open House, Sat., November 8, 10a-3p.

Test scores. College fund savings. Applications. Scholarships. Does college planning have you going in circles? Chyten Educational Services of Blue Bell will “recalculate” your frustration and put you on the right route during their free Road to College Educational Fair and Open House, Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 10:00am to 3:00pm at their 712 DeKalb Pike (The Shoppes at Village Square), Blue Bell location.

This is not your typical education fair with rows of brochure-filled tables. Chyten has lined up a dynamic series of five workshops, each presented by experts in their fields. It begins at 10:00am with Dr. Adam Berman, a clinical psychologist and certified school psychologist who will present a parenting program on “Optimizing Communication with Your Child.” Alvina Peat follows at 11:00am with “Communicating with Confidence and Composure – Overcoming the Fears and Discomfort of Public Speaking,” a program designed for high school students eager to develop strong presentation skills. A*C*E College Advising’s Cheryl DiLanzo, M.S., holds a Noon session on navigating the college applications and admissions process, followed by Carl Hoffmann, president of Collegiate Stars, Inc., who will provide “The Roles, The Rules and The Routes to Athletic Scholarships” at 1:00pm. The Fair concludes with a 2:00pm session on the topic everyone wants to know about, “Determine the Cost of College” presented by Jeff Goering, Blaine Blontz and Will Schirmer of Independence Planning Group.

“This is so much more than a ‘pop in and pick up some information’ event,” said director of operations, Rob Morrin. “It’s a full-day, free workshop designed to clear any confusion or uncertainty a family with a college-bound student may be facing. These are important decisions. We’re here to help facilitate the process.”
