Domenico Derro, 74, of Ambler

Domenico Derro, 74, of Ambler, PA died on June 3, 2012 at his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Filomena Derro for 49 years.

He was born in Jacurso, Italy on May 13, 1938 to the late Giovanni B. and Elisabetta (Devito) Derro. Domenico worked for Colibraro Nursery as a Master Gardener for over 25 years.

He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Ambler, PA. Domenico's favorite past time was spending time at the mountain house he purchased with his and sons. He loved being there with his wife where they enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Domenico loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Domenico is survived by his 3 children Elisa Christmas (David), John D. Derro, Peter D. Derro (Pamela), his 2 grandchildren Gianna and Peter Derro, his 10 siblings Angela Casalinuovo (Fioramante), Rosa Serratore (Pietro), Nina Talese (Vincenzo), Maria Facciolo (Rocco), Giuseppe Derro (Concetta), Barbara Ruggiero (Giuseppe), Vincenza Marcellino (Reno), Fred Derro, Antonio Moio (Kathy), Rosa Ghannai (Peter), and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, 16 S. Spring Garden St., Ambler, PA. The viewing will be from 9:00-10:00 AM at the Church.

Entombment will be in George Washington Memorial Park.
