Drivers Hospitalized, Cars Wrecked After Destructive Lansdale Crash
Residents expressed concerns about the intersection in the wake of the accident.
Two drivers were taken to Lansdale Hospital after an accident on Tuesday afternoon wrecked both of their vehicles on West Main Street, according to the Lansdale Police Department.
The condition of the drivers is not currently known.
The incident occurred near the intersection with Wood Street.

“(This is a) reminder to stay focused and stay alert when operating your vehicle,” Lansdale Police said on their Facebook page. “Accidents like this happen in the blink of an eye if you’re not paying attention; one fleeting moment that could potentially impact the rest of your life. Be safe, folks.”
It appeared that the passenger side of one of the vehicles, a green van, struck the passenger side of the other vehicle, a blue four-door sedan.

Witnesses said they saw car parts fly into the intersections.
Residents expressed concerns about the intersection in the wake of the accident, alleging that drivers frequently do not stop at the stop sign on Vine Street or Wood Street, and that it’s difficult to see incoming traffic as you turn onto Vine.
