Drunk Woman Sleeps In Montco Uber, Then Attacks Cops, Police Say

Police were called when the woman fell asleep in the back seat of the Uber and would not wake up.

HATFIELD, PA — A woman fell asleep in an Uber in Hatfield and then attacked police responding to the scene earlier this month, authorities said.

The incident occurred on Aug. 10 at around 3:43 a.m. on the 2900 block of Washington Lane.

Police were called after the suspect, Nicole Selena Brouse, 22, was drunk in the backseat and would not wake up.

When police arrived, they said she became "uncooperative," and eventually began kicking one of the officers repeatedly, authorities said.

She was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and public drunkenness.

A preliminary hearing has been set for Aug. 28.
