E-cycling Day Set for May 12 in Whitpain Township

has scheduled a day for residents to securely dispose of those piling up bank statements and recycle that old TV. May 12 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Stoney Creek Sports Park, the Township and the Police Department will host the “Great Shredder Event” and Electronics Recycling.

The Township website asks that, “Papers for shredding should be free of anything, such as binders, that could disrupt the paper shredding process.”

Electronic equipment suitable for recycling include television, computer monitors, computers, laptops, printers, cell phones, video game consoles, stero and radio equipment, irons, toasters, vacuums, and small household appliances.

Tire, explosives, ammunition, batteries, air conditioners, and smoke detectors will not be collected.
