Ernst Brothers Designers & Builders, Spring House, adds staff accountant

Ernst Brothers Designers & Builders, a niche custom design-build firm, has hired Brighid Bauer as staff accountant.

Ms. Bauer, who joined the firm in August, is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, banking and general office duties. Along with these duties, she will assist the firm’s controller.

“We’re very excited to have Brighid on board,” says Jake Taylor, Ernst Brother’s controller.

“Her wide range of experience and professionalism make her a valuable asset to the company. Although this is her first position with a construction firm, she’s already becoming familiar with the design-build industry. She’s a great fit for our office and doesn’t hesitate to take on additional responsibilities and make the job her own.”

Ms. Bauer holds an Accounting Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a Masters in Public Administration from Marywood University in Scranton. Her experience includes a position in the International Banking Department for UPS Supply Chain Solutions, staff accountant for Harper Collins Publishing, financial accountant for Hideout Property Owner Association and most recently staff accountant and payroll coordinator for SCE Environmental Group.

A Scranton, Pa., native, Ms. Bauer recently relocated to Manayunk to be closer to family.
